The system consists of
- Cables and leadwires
- Cable relay switch board to take readings
- Portable temperature monitoring system
Cables are attached to the storage bin roof.
Portable
temperature system is plugged in connectors to scan all the cables.
Thermocouples can take temperature reading in 3 m radius. Quantity of thermocouples
depends upon cable length. In 6m dia. tanks one cable is sufficient to monitor
grain temperature. Tanks with larger diameter need to be equipped with more
than one cable. The central cable is to be installed within every bin, as it
is the storage tank where the largest quantity of fines is accumulated.
